These 5 arrangements of familiar Christmas carols for string quartet are styled classically, including Bach-like fugues to Chopinesque nocturne-like passages. These pieces have been tested by professional string players and markings of bowings and other articulations are incorporated based on their suggestions.

This arrangement ends with a vigorous fugue and very clever (if I say so myself) stretto ending. This is a challenging piece to play.
Away in a Manger
Lush, quiet setting, simple to play.
Pat-a-pan
Another vigorous number, very playful, with a lively gigue to end it and also difficult to play.
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear>
I borrowed, stole, the nocturne formula from Chopin and put it in the
string players' hands-- lush, very Romantic, moderately easy to play.
I Wonder as I Wander
Coplandesque harmonies accompany this haunting tune of Appalachia-- a harmonically rich, modal ritornello glues the two variations together -- an easy to play arrangement.
